Hello Everyone,
I have noticed that my keyless entry has two major problems. First, sometimes it chooses not to work all together. I've noticed that this only really happens when it is hot and sometimes when it is rainy. I'm not sure exactly why but it works wonderfully at night. The second problem I am having is that when it does work, I have to be standing practically at the door anyway. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appriciated. Oh! By the way, I have a 1999 Jetta with the old body style.

Did you try replacing the battery in the key fob?

Yes. I actually bought a whole new remote. Could it be the recieving end of it?
