hi, i have a 97 jetta gl and i tryed to squeeze a bunch of luggage in the back the other day. it closed fine but then i couldn't open it afterwards. i can't even turn the key when i put it in the trunk and when i hit the button by the parking brake i can hear a clicking sound but nothing happens.

i folded down the back seats and got the luggage out but it still won't open, any ideas? i crawled back there but i couldn't really see any visible mechanism
