if u are styling as well as gettin the most out of your GTi then i would get a letterbox styled exaust. they look the business on a mk 2. I have a powerflow exaust on my mk 2 (letterbox styled) and it looks awesome.

When you're setting up your car for street/strip race or autocross and what not, style should be 2nd or 3rd on your list of concerns. #1 is will the exhaust system perform the way you want it to, how will the different types of exhausts benefit you, and if any, what would be the HP increase and performance by using certain exhaust. That's how I think about it when I'm throwing down parts in my VW, just a suggestion. Good luck!
