Here is my major problem with the engine:

When am trying to drive or just push gas pedal engine cuts off power before i reach 1500rpm.
Check engine light is on so i pulled the codes.
There is 13 !!!! of them. Here is the list

P1545 - Idle speed control
P1505
P1237 - Fuel air meetering
P1238
P1239
P1240
P0118 - engine control temp circuit high input
P0102 - MAF or VAF input
P1613 - axelary inputs/outputs
P1544 - speed control
P0123 - pedal possision low/high input TPS
P1425 - axelary emmision control

I thing your main problem is P1545. I own a 1999 sedan passat, 1.8turbo. I changed a used TPS, and a used ECU. When I replaced the TPS there was not change. After 4 months, I bought a used ECU also at ebay. It solved the problem for only one day, after the battery came discharged, the same problem came. Computer from my mechanic showed P1545 code again. After 7 months from I bougth my car, it is working, thanks to Vag Com software. It could save me several problems. There is an TPS adaptation turning on the key, living it for 3 minutes, furn of key, and then run the motor; but is just solve the unistable of the notor.
You must run a basic TPS adaptation using Vag Com. Now, my car is able to run above 1500rpm. You could buy the interface cable for Vag Com from ebay (about $15Dollars) and the Vag Com license from www.ross-tech.com The software price is $99 dollars. Good luck !
