Hello everyone,

I am new to this whole forum thing, but I figured if I had some questions this would be a good place for answers. Anyways, I just got a 98 Jetta GL and I was wondering a few different things. 1) How does the front grill come off without breaking every little plastic clip that holds it on??? I do know that there are 4 screws on the top, but after that, then what? Any insight to this would help. 2) I have that new style of headlight switch where you get the option of either day time running lights or headlights on, and that's it. My girlfriend has a 95 Jetta that has a 3-way switch: Off, Parking lights, and Headlights on. Does anyone know if I bought a switch like her 3-way from a recycler or something if they are compatible??? Once again any help is great. Thanks all!

i would check with the dealership parts department about getting that grille off..they can tell you whether or not you can remove them without braking the clips.

Hey thanks for the info. I tried my local dealer and all they told me was "be careful not to break them" Pretty much there's no special way huh. Ok I guess I'll do my best with some needle nose or something of that sort. Hey any insight to the headlight switch question??? Thanks again.
