Hi -- just purchased a new 2006 GTI "Fast" last week - has anyone had an issue with the drivers's airbag fault like staying on the dash? I've taken it to the dealer twice and they haven't been able to fix it. I would like to offer them some friendly "advice" -- anyone?

thx.

Best advice, tell them to actually LOOK. Dealers are really starting to get on my last nerve. If anything they CAN turn that light off via the computer. Even so, it seems there's an issue with your airbag, minor or major, who knows, not an expert when it comes to airbags. I recommend, you pressure them, since it is the DRIVERS side airbag. Don't take "we can't find the problem" as an answer. Hopefully some other members can offer some helpful information.

Hi

Just wanted to touch base for those who may have the "Airbag Fault" issue --- there are more than one airbag sensor. The first time I took it in, the dealer replaced the passengers side -- this time (2nd time), they replaced the driver's side. Apparently, there are issues with the sensors connectors.

Tip: If you are getting sensors replaced, please ask if all of the sensor connectors have been checked or replaced....

They were very apologetic --
