I just had a new sound system installed in my '04 Passat and am having troubble finding a part that will allow me to control songs and volume through the steering wheel. My question is, is there a part I can buy that will allow me to control sound and songs through the steering wheel?

Any advice would be great

Well you gotta buy a steering whell or cut it and zeek it in there, I''d get some one who knows this stuff to do it.

you would have been better off buying a deck with a remote that velcros to the wheel, installing the factory wheel with the wiring sounds like a real nightmare, compatibility issues is the first thing I think of, its even hard to tap into the factory amp in my car, but I do wish you the best, does anyone have a good solution to this?

You''ll need the SWI-CAN plus the adapter for your specific radio, or you can mount an LED to act as the "remote" that came with the head unit. What model did you buy, Brand / Model?
