It's the Drew VW dealer located in San diego, CA. The service department denied the reparing warranty simply due to the ownership changed even though the repair was just done 2 months ago!! I am the second owner of a 2003 passat wagon. the original owner repaired his rear hatch in late July because the hatch can not be opened by remote. I purchased his wagon in early Sept and at that time, the same problem was still there. I found the Drew dealer repairing receipt in his maintainance record and contacted with them. But those guys denied the repairing warranty right away. They said they have no responsibility if the car's ownership has changed. That is ridiculous! Dearler should be responsible for their service to the car and not to the car's owner. I was very angry but can't do anything about it. I am just wondering where I can find some terms to fight back with them. Maybe some guys here experienced this kind of thing before. Please help. BTW, here is the dealer's detail. Avoid to buy and do service from them if you could Drew Volkswagen 8850 Grossmont Blvd La Mesa, CA 91941 Phone (619) 464-1440 Email Contact Us Fax (619) 668-7711
