hi ya guys and girls. ive a got a vw golf mk4 2.0 8v gti, it seems to be over fueling ever since ive drove it dry of fuel. its black smoking when idling and accelerating. any one got any ideas? also when ticking over on idle speed the fuems are really bad which burns ur eyes. thanks

Just a guess but fuel pump is a possible.
I know its bad for them to run dry like that and could definitely have a negative effect on it afterwards.
