i have an 07 GTI, and was wondering what i could do to my car w/o voiding the warranty i have? in terms of adding more horsepower. thanx.

funny, i just called the stealership to ask this. asked mainly about the intake and all, they said you wont void warranty unless something goes wrong and can be directly blamed on the modification you do. pretty vague, didnt really answer the question but kind of gave me an idea... here is how i think they look at it, if soemthing goes wrong and they can find a way to tie it in to your changes, they will and they'll void you. just my thoughts, not certain though, i still went with an intake mod but am holding off otherwise for now. i asked him about lowering as well and the only part of the warranty i would be voiding is the suspension, so if there are problems in say the drive train, they wouldnt be voided because of lowering the car. my 2 cents along with redneck dude from dealership

thanx for the info. i figured all the dealerships would try to find a way to void a warranty if u have a mod. i just have the need to go faster.
