love the gti, well i believe the coolant in your car is pentosin g12, thats what i would recomend, i wouldnt take the chance of mixing anything else with it, wouldnt want to risk damaging anything. dot 3 brake fluid is what to get. also prices may vary for fluid changes depending on what you want. oil change is usually 20 to 30 bucks depending where you go and if you want synthetic. i hope i helped you out, and now your not so clueless anymore.

yeah, definetly do NOT use the "mix with anything" coolant, you need g12 (pentosin) if you use the other stuff it will turn your coolant to gel. you should just go get a shop manual or another book for your year of gti, they have everything in them

The dealership is the only place to get that coolant, I don't trust anywhere else. Grab a Chiltons, or any manul from an Auto Parts Store, everything you need to know is there. If you have any questions, PM me atany time, I'm more than willing to help.
