hi, i have a problem with my 98 vw golf.

Brake lights just doesn't work anymore...
i've looked at lights and fuses and everything seems all right. It happened after i changed my car batterie.. whatever. I f anyone had an idea of where else i should start looking

TRY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH KNOWN ISSUE IF BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING OR STAYING ON ALL THE TIME. BECAREFULL WHEN FITTING ASK DEALER FOR INSTRUCTION THESES SWITCHS BREAK VERY EASY. HOPE THIS HELPS STEPHEN.

thanx man i fugured it out by myself after reading some stuff on other forums. You are right it was only my brake light switch that was stuck ... i played with it a little bit and it came back to normal. I didn't have to change it.

On my Jetta it's a recalled item, so if it messes up again just find out cause a dealer will fix it for free.
