My 99 V6 with 58K has developed a slight vibration at idle in park. This vibration becomes more pronounced under load (in drive) while stopped. Have ruled out ignition mis. Car has been pampered. I am the original owner and all service has been done. Previously you almost couldn't even feel the engine running it was so smooth. My hunch is motor mounts, but can't say for sure. Has anyone had this problem, if so was mounts the fix? Don't want guess. No check engine light or codes, so tend to think mounts. Question is should they really fail at so low miles, under easy driving history? Any experience or help most appreciated. Thanks.

Hi
Yep, the problem was the motor mounts. Right side mount was faulty because of leaky valve cover gasket, which allowed oil to penetrate seal. The mounts are gel filled, I think. Replaced both  sides. If you do it also replace anti-torque bushing in center for sure, the part is cheap ($10). Got good deal on parts (2/3 less than dealer) from AZautohaus. Parts were factory parts.  The car runs like new. Cost reasonable if you buy the parts and find local guy to install, the dealer will kill you. Let me  know.
