I had originally had a 420 code in the computer. My uncle who is a mechanic said that 99 percent of the time that means I need a cat and only about 1 percent of the time its just the o2 sensor. First off has anyone had this problem and if so please tell me it was just the sensor. And Secondly I had a misfire code on cylinder 3 ... so I replaced the plugs .... didn't fix the problem. However with a swap of a couple of wires the misfire followed the plug wire. So I got new plug wires ... except the new ones don't have the plastic hook on them to get them out and push them onto the plugs. I found something to attempt to push them down and I thought I got them all on the plugs. However with a start of the car is runs worse that originally. So obviously I'm not on the plugs but does anyone know if its possible to swap that plastic piece on the old wires to the new ones?!? Oh and just to let ya'll know ... since this misfire it has burnt up the cat more so now I actually have a cat ineffieciency code! LoL

WOW...that sux...see I had a multiple misfire, and I changed the coil pack. After doing much research, the coil pack on the VR6 actually can cause other problems, has a big effect on the performance of the vehicle. As far as those plugs go, I dunno how you'd push that down there, except to push the wire as much as you can. I have an engine code on mine right now that says bank 1 O2, no activity. That sux, there's 160.00 I gotta dish out. Anyways, hope this helps a little...let me know what you come up with.
