vwvroom -> First car, which to buy? (3/4/2007 11:53:38 AM)

Heres the thing. I'm about to get my drivers license soon and so comes the exciting prospect of a new car! :D And being a VW fan there's a great chance I'll buy one. But which one?
The following are my list of choices and my opinions of each. Please, throw your ideas at me!
Golf 5 1.6 (Looks amazing but unfortunately it seems a bit heavy and so its a bit slow with that 1.6l engine (0-60 of 11 seconds))
Golf 5 2.0 (Again, great looks and good performance but too pricey at the moment. The affordable ones are high mileage)
Golf 4 GTi (Seems like a nice car, but most of the models for sale seem to be high mileage and I'm concerned about servicing costs for the car. If I can find one with low mileage this might be a winner)
Jetta 1.8T (2004 model) (Seems like a good choice, great performance and decent looks, but does it handle well?)
Polo 2.0 (Latest 2006/7 model) (Looks quite nice and performance is good for the 2.0l)
Ford Fiesta ST (Great little car, awesome performance and even better looks, a winner in my eyes but the fact that its a 2-door is putting me off unfortunately, a real pity)
Ford Focus 1.6 (Great looks but mediocre performance)
I'm not really interested in much else. I seriously dislike toyotas, the new hondas dont impress me and fiats and opels have never done much for me.
Anyway, tell me what you think.
