HI,

I am a bit worried as I have just bought a golf 1.9 TDI 1999 MK4, When I open the front 2 doors the interior lights don't come on and when I open the rear doors they do. I left my headlights on yesterday took the key out usually when you open the door the buzzer should sound but there is no buzzer sound coming from it. My battery died and I had to go to work late. This is due to a fault in the switch which, when the doors are open turns the interior lights on and also if the headlights are on turns the buzzer on. Can anyone show me exactly where this switch is located I have been told it is in the door hinges but there is absolutely nothing there, I would be very grateful if anyone knows and can tell me.

124 hits and nobody has a clue as to where this @%^$^&^%* switch is? I guess I need to buy a $100 manual, hope that VW let the manual's publisher know where the switch is and then I can come back here and help this guy (and myself).
