hello again another thing just bought some 18" alloys and have had them put on but when i ride over bumps etc it makes a wierd rattling noise?is there anything i can uprate or when i get it lowered will it help this?cheers

I don't think the rattling is from the shocks but jump on your car and bounce it, to check the shocks.

Check your rear Volkswagen shocks/strut sometimes they rattle internally then check for lose or broken suspension parts or worn rubber bushings... It seems also that you have a broken shock absorber mount... Goodluck!!!
