I ordered a brand new 4-door manual Rabbit, should be delivered shortly. My question is this: I am moving next month from Wisconsin to Oregon, driving across the U.S. and also over the Rocky Mountains with my new car. (2100 miles) I will also be pulling a 4x8' UHaul trailer on the back of it. I will be putting a UHaul hitch on my new Rabbit just a week after I get it. What are your thoughts on this situation? Is the only method I have to get my stuff to Oregon with me, so please dont get me too discouraged... just realistic and what I should be aware of.

Yea I agree...shouldn't be any real problems. Just don't exceed the max towing capacity of the car and then a couple hundred pounds less. Just BABY it...you want to break in the engine, haulin butt isn't a good way. Just treat it like a fine pint of Guinness.
