Recently moved from Florida to Alaska and brought my VW with me. The VW sits in a heated garage all night, but the first time the temp. dropped below zero and I took it out of the garage to drive to work (naturally I warmed the car up before leaving the garage). The turn signals would blink twice and then stop, however the switch would stay in place until the steering wheel turned back to its natural position. Is this due to the cold or just a timely coincidence? I looked for the Cylinder (only owned Toyotas and Chevys) in the dash fuse box that controls the turn signals and I was unable to locate the cylinder. What would cause this? Its a 01 Jetta VR6, everything on the switch (ie. brights and cruise control) is functioning properly.

So you looked for the fuse but couldn't find it.
Should be labelled on the cover (back) of the fuse
panel.
