Hello,

I have a 1960's volkswagen motor,  I don't know much about it really.  My dad bought it for out little rail job dune buggy.  We've replaced the Coil, spark plug wires, put in a carburator kit, new points and a few other things.   Yet we can't tune it out perfect.  We can get it running nice for about 10-20 minutes and it starts to get hot and sputters and dies, like its fluiding. We can try to turn to start it but it won't start, but it will hit.  We can wait about 5-15 minutes and it will start back up without any problem.  We've asked a few people and they have giving us all different answers, such as bad gas, or we need to open the points a little more because it may not be burning the gas quick enough.  What do you think it could be?  I'm no mechanic, just a 17 year old boy trying to figure out whats wrong.
