If anyone knows how to disable the datime running lights on a 2004 GTI I would greatly appreciate knowing how to do this.

havent looked but i imagine there is a relay for this you could pull

well there is a pin in your headlight switch. its easy to pull out. push in, the spin 1/8 turn and pull out. now look for the pin marked THL and either put some tape on it or bend it down. problem fixed! i would also recomend spending the 25-30 dollars and buying a euro headlight switch so you will have the option for city lights, rear fogs, or different wiring options than your stock switch. and the is TRULY a ppull out plug in mod. took me 45 seconds.

yea no problem, something i have always hated is daytime running lights, i mean, hell, my car is ORANGE, if you can't see it, you shouldn't be driving. anyways, yea. with that euroswitch too, you can re wire and have jus the angel eyes on, or add a rear fog light, or install city lights that will come on alone.
