Hi, I have recently bought a Mk 4 se tdi, with 2 flip keys, which I was told needed reprogramming to operate the remote locking. The key blades work fine and unlock the doors manually and start the engine. I took the car and keys to the local VW garage today for the reprogramming and they said that they were unable to programme the remotes (the remotes light up when you press the buttons). They are wanting to run a diagnostic, and stated that there may be a fault on the ECU - and a replacement would be approx £250ish . Can anyone think of an easier solution to this problem?
