'92 Passat 16v. All power windows went down except for front passenger side and none will go back up? Got the car from a guy and he said was probably a fuse?!? Yeh right, the fuse was gone I put one in and lone behold can not get windows to go back up!?!?  Hear a clicking under the back seats when pressing any of the switch's to go up. Any help would be GREAT!!! It is kicking my butt!?!?

I can see where a pic would be helpful but I just took passenger card off and nothing looks messed up window motor it was unplugged, plugged it in and it automatically went down I did not touch a switch. Now at least all windows are down but how do I get them to go up??? What causes this? WEIRD!!! I read somewhere that these cars only allow one window at a time to go up, but I would not know. Pushed on all the switches and they all click up or down but no movement

My photo file is to big but when I was taking pics I heard electrical light clicking about every 6 seconds on the passenger door. could it be the motor is shorteed and how do I tell that? $85 or more for a new one.

Noises like humming or grinding indicate a stuck or worn out window regulator, while no noise means an electrical problem. But since you mentioned that you heard a clicking sound on the electrical light, maybe your window motor is shorted and needs replacing. About the large photo file size of the affected vw part, try saving it as jpeg to minimize the size of the file... A picture would really be a great help in troubleshooting your window motor problem... Goodluck!!
