Hi I just got a '97 Golf GL in nice condition with only 62k on it. Anyways, I test drove it and drove it home with no problem. Then when taking it out for another drive, I noticed when i turned the a/c on the car stalled. Then When i got moving some more the A/C would work but had almost a slight burning smell and wasn't cool at all. Could this be because it was overheated? Also, just an hour ago I took it out and it was perfectly fine in the cool weather. Any help?
