I have a 1998 Sharon 1.9tdi. I have started having problems where by I lock the car either by the fob or using the key. Everything locks fine and the alarm sets. Then when returning to the car the windows are all down, the doors are unlocked and the alarm is off. Has anyone had a simular problem. My local dealer has not.

wow, i've never heard of such a thing. I think you have a serious issue on your hand. Might want to check the electrical system...that's just weird, can't offer any decent advice as I've never heard of such a thing lol.

[:)] Problem resolved. After taking sharan back to my VW agent 3 times, they found a bulletin from Germany, stating that it is a known fault. What happens is water gets in through the O/S rear lamp cluster and erodes the electrics and contacts. They quoted me £550:00 to repair cabling and to re-seal the lamp cluster.
I have now done this myself using household waterproof sealant. The cable and connections where not as bad as VW made out and just needed cleaning and I then sprayed them with WD40.
This has also resolved another problem where I kept finding water in the wells where the seats fit. The water was getting in the lamp cluster and running down.
