I just got a great deal on a 03 Passat. The paint has some signs of oxidation on the hood, roof, and trunk. I waxed the car this weekend with a basic turtle wax wax and it helped but the paint still does not look as good as it should. Is there a wax that will remove this oxidation or will I need to have it waxed with a buffer. I waxed the car by hand. I have never been brave enough to wax a car with an electric buffer. Thanks for the help

Wax does not remove anything. It provides coverage as a fairly thin transparent coating. You need to buff with a minor abbrasive, an even milder abbrasive, and THEN wax. Meguiars makes excellent products and has a great website ... goto http://www.meguiars.com/
