I just purchased an APR R1 diverter valve for my 2003 gti 1.8t. upon examination of the ease of install i notced the factory hose clamps will be a bit of a pain to remove without breaking them. wondering if anybody has any knowledge about removing them. or should i just clip them out and replace them with a generic hose clamp or zip tie. or can i get those factory hose clamps through a dealership, any input would be appreciated.

you have to screw up the clamp to get it off.  just get a generic hose clamp from any auto parts store.
