hey guys
i just bought a few neon lights to mount on the interior of my car, mainly underneath the dash. i was wondering if anybody has any experience with these, particularly with mounting them. i need to hook them directly into the battery somehow, not the cigarette lighter and my brother was saying something about a relay to make sure they don't catch on fire
any help would be greatly appreciated

I would be interested in this information also.  Just curious of someone has a wireing diagram for a 2007 Jetta & I could figure it out myself.

you don't need to mount them directly to the battery, you can run a distribution block into the car and hook them to that, or you can go to the fuse panel. obviously everything needs to have an inline fuse, gounds need to run to the battery or tap into another wire running to battery ground.

Just checked and this post is SUPER old but whatever, someone might care

hope everything went smoothly

ok heres what you need to do. i work for best buy and i install car audio, accessories and all that crap. this might sound weird but this is how MECP does it. take some wire, a black and red wire, or use 2 different colors and remember which u use for positive and negatice.  solder the black wire onto the silver tabs on the outside of the cigarette adapter..this is your ground. then take your red wire and solder it onto the tip of the cigarette adapter. this is your power wire.  Find something that is switched power and tie power into that and ground it.  if you need help finding a switch power source, let me know.  you dont need to run it to the battery, which is stupid. and u CERTAINLY do not need to use a relay...which is even more retarded.
any questions PM me.
