Found a 2001 1.8T wolfsburg edition jetta at the dealer today. No price on it though and the dealer was closed. It has like 145,000mi on it though, is that too high? I'm looking for a cheapish good gas mileage 5 spd car that I can have some fun in, and lookin to spend less than 6k$ And I need RELIABLE. Is this car reliable with that much mileage? What could I expect them to ask for it? Edges of wheels are kinda corodded, paint has some scuffs and blemishes.

you could maybe get it for less than 6 with that many miles/issues. If you're looking for way reliable, get a lower mileage car, which, inevitably you are gonna spend more than 6 on. You are looking for the damn near impossible. You can get the cheap and reliable-ish with a honda, but it wont be fun, or not nearly as. Id suggest waiting, spending a little more, and getting a newer dub with a 1.8t, and taking meticulous care of it. Now, when you do buy something, make sure it was well taken care of before you had it, otherwise, you could run into problems
