For my 16th birthday my mom gave me her '03 Jetta GLS that she got from the dealer in 2004. When my mom got the car it only had a hundred miles on it so I knew it hadnt been owned by anyone else. Anyway, I took it out for a drive and noticed it would lag a little bit shifting into 2nd gear and shift hard out of 2nd gear. Also when u shift from park to drive, it will sometimes lag then jolt into gear. I asked the guy who sold us the car about this, and he said that it was a trait of the Jetta. I want to know from owners if this is true or bullshit, and wut I should do about the tranny.
