I have a 2002 Jetta GLS 2.0L and also want some more power.  Nothing too extreme though.  The only thing I have been able to find so far is a supercharger kit from Nuespeed, but it only gets you 135 HP. (http://www.neuspeed.com/products/product_details.asp?app=47|J4&type=11&ltype=ns_euro&p_id=620).  Everything I have found so far is for the 1.8T and VR6 models.  Let me know if you find something.

actually the 2 liter is stock with 115 HP and neuspeed claims the supercharger adds 50% which comes out to be 172.5 HP.

Sell your car, get a turbo car from the factory, it will be more reliable and well the 1.8t engine is stout and made for high pressures. Your going to be spending alot of money on a mediocre outcome.

If you know what your doing then no, if your engine is weak internally then its a recipe for disaster. Most people think you can just throw on forced induction and its all good...

Just sell your 2.0 cause everyone is looking for fuel efficient cars these days so it shouldnt be to hard, and if you want a good fun vw buy a corrado vr6 or g60. I regret not buying one but I got my 1.8t instead which also makes me happy. If you turbo''d your 2.0 at very very max on stock internals you would still be almost at stock 1.8t horsepower (or less).
