When I was with VW, on accasion we would be asked to take a customer's car home for a test, But it would be one of those things that couldn't be found with out driving a good distance and at the dealer the tech is on commision and doesn't have the time for a drive of that nature, he is looking for a certain problem the customer is complaining about that's not showing up. However this is not a common thing to do without consent of the customer.

hahaha, dude that's funny. Never actually heard of anything like that I doubt that it would happen. I mean the manager wouldn't allow it unless he himself is doing it. You think someone would report him. If I found out someone was driving around in MY car it'd be over for them lol

VtecEtr, It's not funny at all, but a fact, seems your world is some where else, when you sign that work sheet you just gave permission for the repair shop to drive your car. And if you showed your arse like you said you would then you just might be in jail for assault.

nasty08rabbit, your correct about your thoughts, I was working at a dealer ship and one of the techs totaled a car but the dealer replaced the vehicle with a new one of the owners choice in the same vehile line. Hey if you think it doesn't happen, you better change your thoughts.
