It all depends on how much your looking to spend, a k04 turbo upgrade is a straight forward turbo swap that makes great power but is kinda expensive and the term "BOLT ON" dosent mean you put the part on in 30 min. either. I have a frontmount intercooler (a total bitch to put on cause i made my own intercooler piping, but way worth it in the end), a silicone intake hose, forge bypass valve, k&n filter n57j valve and a short throw shifter and with the traction control off it will spin the tires in 2nd no problem and is way fun to drive, thats the way i went but i will let you know how the k04 turbo swap goes.

I have the ko4 swap and love it, dont let naysayers discourage you from this cheap alternative to a 5000.00 upgrade kit. Did mine for about 1600.00 buxs with turbo and everything... You can do turbo back exhaust, intake, chip, intercooler pancake pipe replacement
